Hatfield White are commercial property advisors & chartered surveyors based in Taunton. Plum were appointed in May 2016 to work on an exciting scheme revitalising two central Taunton office buildings called Tangier Central into flexible modern work space. Providing traditional and digital PR including social media, creating and distributing news releases, helping support search engine optimisation and helping Hatfield White in boosting the town’s rapidly growing business appeal.

Summerfield Developments is a long established property developer, delivering both commercial and residential developments throughout the South West. We have carried out a range of marketing and PR work for Summerfield, including press releases, designing and maintaining their website (www.summerfield.co.uk) professional photography, the design and print of marketing materials, and a successful B2B campaign for Taunton's Victoria House and Westpark 26 - a mixed use business park in Wellington, Somerset.

Sovereign Housing Group merged with our client, Spectrum Housing Group, in 2016. Together they are now known as Sovereign Housing and own, and manage, over 55,000 homes across the South and South West of England and the Isle of Wight. Since 2011, we have developed a fantastic working relationship with them, working closely with both staff and residents on a wide range of communications deliverables, including the creation and design of the group’s quarterly residents' newsletter and Community Forum annual reports, the production of news releases and the provision of professional photography. At the beginning of 2016, Plum were approached by Somerset Building Control Partnership (SBCP) requiring help to create their brand and a marketing strategy. SBCP is a new partnership providing a modern, flexible building control service to businesses and householders on behalf of Mendip, Sedgemoor, Taunton Deane, and West Somerset Councils, creating the largest Local Authority Building Control Partnership in the South West. Plum developed and designed the logo and brand, providing brand guidelines for use on a range of marketing collateral, as well as devising a costed marketing strategy for the launch and subsequent first year. The new partnership launched in July 2016 and we wish SBCP every success for the future.

Weston Business Improvement District has been in operation since 2012. The purpose of the Business Improvement District is to raise the profile, improve the perception and increase trade in the town centre. With Weston BID entering its final phase of its first five year term they contacted Plum to assist in devising a communication plan for the consultation and voting process in the run up to the renewal ballot. Since writing the communication plan, Plum have also assisted in the implementation designing the Back the Bid 2016 logo, building and writing content for the dedicated campaign website, creating and distributing news releases, as well as managing social media channels on behalf of Weston BID, throughout the campaign. Rookery Manor is a 16th Century manor house that has been transformed into a 4-star boutique hotel. The family-run business is one of Somerset’s best wedding venues; extremely popular with locals and several celebrity clients who have married in the award-winning grounds. We were appointed to promote their wedding fayre, increase their footfall and wedding bookings as well as manage their social media accounts. Read our case study and hear about our success here.

 

Weston-super-Mare Town Council was established in 2000 and is the ‘parish’ council for the town. They are the largest civil parish council in England and Wales (by population) and provide a variety of services to the residents of Weston-super-Mare. We have designed and built their websites and created a marketing strategy for the Town Museum which was a key component for their funding bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF). The Museum was successful with their bid and were awarded over a million pounds by the HLF to completely refurbish and modernise the hugely popular Burlington Street attraction.

North Somerset Council hired us in 2012 to work in conjunction with the Weston-super-Mare BID team to attract visitors to the the Weston Winter Wonderland extravaganza. Our fully-integrated campaign included brand and website development, event promotion and attracting visitors to the town through both traditional PR and social media promotion, obtaining media coverage locally and online, and event management of the popular Christmas lights switch on.

Merlin Housing Society owns or manages 8,300 homes across South Gloucestershire, Bath, Bristol and North East Somerset. We have used our housing expertise to assist Merlin with a range of project work including the re-launch of Merlin's staff magazine, The Pulse, which won us a 2011 CIPR PRide West of England finalist award, as well as the writing of a number of industry award submissions.
