Rookery Manor celebrates most successful wedding fayre to date

On Sunday 29 January, Rookery Manor held its first wedding fayre of 2017. More than 30 exhibitors from small and large businesses attended the day which saw over 100 brides walk through the grand entrance.

Rookery Manor was dressed for the occasion with a fantastic range of new table styling courtesy of Once Upon a Table Events and Flowers by Gem. The marriage ceremony room (Rose Room), was also dressed up and glowing with an air of romance.

The singing waiters were a hit, as always, plus wonderful Jazz singing from Denis Demille, went down a storm with the visitors. Plus the bonus of Thatchers cider tasting – what better way to spend a rainy Sunday. Hair demonstrations by Tranquility Hair were also very well received with lots of creative ideas.

The new Rolls Royce Dawn took several bookings with the first lucky couple booking to travel in A Lister style on Saturday 4th February. To celebrate this inaugural occasion, they will even be driven by Rookery Manor Owner, Ian Clapp.

The exhibitors reported a very successful day with many bookings from couples planning their perfect day and bridal parties travelling from across the South West; this was undoubtedly Rookery’s most successful wedding exhibition ever. Rookery Manor’s own spa also took several bookings and lots of enquiries for hen parties.

Following a successful social media campaign, one lucky couple won an evening meal and overnight stay at the hotel. Sally and her husband said: ‘We can’t believe our luck, apparently there were almost 400 entrants on Facebook, we never thought we would win! Rookery Manor is just beautiful, our daughter got married here in 2015 and it’s my husband’s 60th birthday next month so this prize has come at the perfect time for us!’

With inspiration exuding from a variety of exhibitors, including a mobile escape room, Van Escape, couples were able to fine tune all the finishing touches for their big day.

Paul from Bristol who booked his wedding at Rookery Manor for summer this year said: “My fiancé, Jamie, and I booked Rookery as we were so impressed with the team’s commitment and enthusiasm to make our day as individual as we are. The exhibition has been great to get ideas and we cannot wait to have our special day here”.
