Summerfield open their view home at Cheddon Road for local home buyers

Those attending The Brambles viewing day on Saturday 2 August from 10am until 2pm, will be the first to see a mix of two-bedroom and three-bedroom homes that represent Summerfield’s extremely high standards. Each home is built in a sustainable way, with double-glazing and gas-fired central heating to ensure energy efficiency, as well as coming complete with an oven, hob and extractor, suitable parking and high levels of insulation. Cheddon Road is located next to The Taunton Academy, close to local amenities, with close transport links to central Taunton, Bristol and Exeter.

The Brambles are made more affordable by their unique designs, selling at 80% the market rate with two-beds selling at £110,000 and three-beds at around £126,000. These homes will be 100% owned by the purchaser and, unlike shared-ownership homes, there is no rent to pay on a ‘remaining share’ of the property, as there is no remaining share. To be eligible for these properties, homebuyers need to be registered on Somerset Homefinder or HomeBuy list; an agent will be available to help you register on the viewing day. This is to ensure the homes are going to those locally who meet the maximum income criteria.

Richard Nicol, Divisional Sales Director for Summerfield, said:

“There has been high demand in the region for affordable, well-designed homes and Summerfield are proud to be working with Taunton Deane Borough Council to deliver more options to those who are currently on Homefinder and HomeBuy.”

The Brambles is a purpose built development designed to be affordable for those that have lived in the parishes of Cheddon Fitzpaine, Staplegrove, Kingston St Mary, West Monkton and the Taunton area, or have strong connections and/or have permanent employment. A ten-year warranty will be offered on all properties.
