The UK’s leading conference for clinical therapists, Therapy Expo, has promised it will be this year’s premier trade and industry-wide networking event, after doubling the size of its Continuing Professional Development (CPD) seminars and technique sessions, and introducing one-to-one opportunities to ‘Meet the Expert’ with a team of Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons.
As well as increasing the number of sought-after CPD sessions, Therapy Expo, which is taking place on 12 and 13 September 2014 in Manchester Central, will also be expanding into to new areas of clinical practice, such as neurology, rehabilitation and orthopaedics.
Lisa Plummer, Event Director, said:
“We received a flood of positive comments regarding the CPD opportunities last year, so we’ve listened to the feedback and made this a key area of development for Therapy Expo 2014.”
“We’re offering delegates over 85 CPD sessions, covering subjects including sports injuries, rehabilitation, neurology, orthopaedics, clinic management, clinical imaging and biomechanics. There really will be something for every hands on therapist and sessions are already filling quickly, so I’d advise anyone with a particular interest to register online and book now.”
Alongside the ground-breaking orthopaedic CPD seminars, professionals attending Therapy Expo will be able to ‘Meet the Expert’ in one-to-one sessions with OrthTeam, a highly experienced group of Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons based in Manchester. Delegates at Therapy Expo will be able to book 15-minute slots to discuss cases and consider treatment interventions and options.
Mike Hayton, Consultant Hand and Wrist Surgeon with OrthTeam, commented:
“OrthTeam are delighted to be involved with Therapy Expo 2014 and we are looking forward to offering one-to-one Meet the Expert sessions where delegates will be able to discuss complex cases and treatment options. As a team of Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons, we have a specialist interest in treating elite sports injuries but also look after all other types of orthopaedic problems, including minimally invasive and arthroscopic surgery. We’re really excited about sharing our experience with other professionals both in the seminar sessions and the one-to-one Meet the Expert slots, which are now open for booking.”
New exhibitors Softly Software are hosting the online booking for the Meet the Expert sessions via their YouCanBook.Me system, which they will be showcasing at the expo.
Delegates will also be able to meet a host of industry-leading businesses at exhibitor stands, with Anatomy Trains UK, Kinesio UK, Painless Practice, Rocktape UK and SportEX all returning after last year’s success. Rex Bionics, a global technology leader in robotic exoskeletons that allow people with mobility impairments to stand and walk, will also be exhibiting as part of the neurology section that has been introduced this year.
